Today, we were delighted to open the doors of the King George V Pavilion to local residents for our Community Open Day. The event offered an opportunity for people to learn more about the project, our plans for the centre and how they can get involved. It was a pleasure to meet so many enthusiastic members of the community who expressed genuine interest and support.
We were honoured to welcome several distinguished guests, including:
- Neville Brown, former British Middleweight Boxing Champion
- Cllr Hardyal Dhindsa
- Cllr Saquib Amin
- Cllr Emily Lonsdale
Their presence and encouragement were greatly appreciated.
A special thank you to Dawn Gee, founder of Carlisle Against Crime, for her invaluable support in helping to organise the event.
This is just the beginning of our journey, and we look forward to working together to create a vibrant and inclusive community space for all.
